A 47-year-old man dies after being hit by a car Saturday morning in San Jose.
Around 3:21 a.m. the police officers responded to a vehicle versus pedestrian at Monterey Road and Rancho Drive.
According to officials, a 47-year-old woman was driving northbound on Monterey Road when she collided with the man.
The man was taken to the hospital but did not survive.
Officials say the woman was driving a 2014 Mazda and stayed at the scene of the accident.
Authorities say the woman was cooperating, and there is no sign that drugs or alcohol were involved.
The Santa Clara County Coroners Office has not yet released the identity of the man.
In 2018, San Jose Police Department says that this is the 41st fatal collision, 44th victim, and 18th pedestrian fatal.
