Highway 17 Summit reopens after police activity shutdown

SANTA CRUZ COUNTY, Calif. (KRON) — Police activity was reported Saturday afternoon on Highway 17 south of the Santa Cruz Mountains, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Highway 17 was closed in both directions from Summit Road to Sugarloaf Road.

CHP tweeted that the highway reopened around 2:36 p.m.
