Police investigating woman's homicide in Fairfield

FAIRFIELD (KRON) - Police are investigating the homicide of a woman that happened Monday night. 

According to police, officers were called to a business in the area of North Texas Street and Travis Boulevard just before 11 p.m. on a reported assault. 

At the scene officers found an unconscious woman who was bleeding in the parking lot. 

The woman was taken to the hospital but died from her injuries. 

Her identity has not been released. 

No arrests have been made. 

This is an active investigation.
