Police: San Jose man raped 7-year-old relative

A man was arrested for allegedly raping his 7-year-old step-granddaughter in Half Moon Bay, according to the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office.

Police say 36-year-old Alfonso Aguilarjaimes, of San Jose, raped the victim on two separate occasions.

The San Jose Police Department, Santa Clara County Sheriff’s Office, The U.S. Marshalls, and San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office worked together to apprehend and arrest the suspect.

Authorities say he may have been trying to flee to Mexico.
