If you’re near the Salesforce Tower tonight, look up! You’ll see something you’ve probably never seen before.
A rare 1906 fim called “A Trip Down Market Street” will be playing on a giant LED movie screen atop the tower in two screenings tonight — from 6-7 p.m. and from 9-10 p.m. — all thanks to the Prelinger Library and the Long Now Foundation.
According to a Facebook event, it’s “one of the most historic films of 1906 San Francisco ever made.”
The footage was filmed just days before the April 1906 earthquake and fire.
Of course, you wont’ have to pay a movie ticket fee — the event is free!
Bring your own popcorn, though.
