San Bruno police are investigated an attempted homicide that happened Thursday night.

Authorities say around 11:30 p.m. officers responded to the 500 block of San Mateo Avenue on report of a stabbing.

Officers learned that a man had been stabbed in the back and the suspect fled the scene.

He was transported to a local hospital and treated for non-life threatening stab wounds.

A subsequent investigation led officers to the 400 block of Angus Avenue. Officers learned 26-year old Oscar SananCastro of San Bruno, had threatened to kill two of his neighbors while charging at them with knives in his hands.

They also determined that SananCastro was the man who had stabbed the victim on San Mateo Avenue.

SananCastro was located nearby, arrested, and booked into the San Mateo County Jail for three counts of attempted homicide.
