SEE IT: Suspected thieves take armfuls of clothes from Pleasant Hill sports store

PLEASANT HILL (KRON) — Suspected thieves targeted a Pleasant Hill sporting goods store on Wednesday and the whole ordeal was caught on camera.

Video shows several suspects running out of the front entrance of Dick’s Sporting Goods in Pleasant Hill with armfuls of clothes.

Pleasant Hill Police say the theft occurred around 7:41 p.m. on Wednesday at the sporting goods store on Monument Boulevard.

Officers patrolling the area spotted a car backed into a parking place near the store’s entrance.

As a Pleasant Hill police officer was taking a look at the car, several suspects with armfuls of merchandise began running out of the store.

According to police, the suspects spotted the officer, dropped the merchandise and ran back inside of the store.

Police eventually arrested the five suspects, four of whom were juveniles.

The 18-year-old suspect, Zahra McCockran, of Oakland, was booked into county jail on grand theft and conspiracy to commit theft charges.

The suspects under 18 were released to their parents, according to police.
