OAKLAND, Calif. (KRON) — Police are investigating a sexual assault that happened in the middle of the day on Monday, according to the Oakland Police Department. The assault occurred just after 11:30 a.m. in the 200 block of Grand Avenue.

OPD said a man walked into a building, forced the victim into a restroom and sexually assaulted her there. Police described the suspect as a Black man, 25-30 years old, standing about 5-foot-10, 140 pounds with a beard.

He was wearing a black graphic t-shirt with a white design on the front, blue jeans, black sneakers with yellow stripes (possibly Adidas), a distinctive gold chain necklace with diamonds and he has a tattoo on his left hand. See surveillance images of him below.
