(KRON) — Police investigating an ‘unattended item’ was discovered in a food court at San Francisco International Airport caused evacuations of the area on Sunday afternoon, according to SFO officials.

The San Francisco Police Department responded to a food court located in Terminal 2 to clear the item. The food court and the D gates were being cleared “out of an abundance of caution,” SFO officials wrote.

The item was deemed safe around 2:30 p.m., and the area has since reopened.
