PLEASANTON, Calif. (KRON) – Shots were fired near Stoneridge Shopping Center Tuesday afternoon.

According to the Pleasanton Police Department, officers responded to the mall around 2:21 p.m. after receiving reports of shots fired in the parking lot.

When officers arrived at the scene, they found two cars with bullet holes and several shell casings.

Authorities said they later received information that someone went into the mall and left through another exit.

Officers searched the mall and surrounding area but did not locate anyone involved.

At this time police have not received any reports of any injuries related to this incident.

The investigation is ongoing and the mall remains open for business.
