A Milpitas car dealership was targeted by thieves and authorities are searching for the culprits.
At least seven cars parked in the back of the Piercey Honda storage lot off South Main Street are missing tires and rims.
The Honda lot is located directly behind the Christian Worship Center where Pastor Nick Belaski has worked for 10 years.
Belaski says he noticed the cars had been vandalized Tuesday morning.
“I was driving through the parking lot and noticed I see a car kind of jacked up a little higher than it normally would,” he said.
Belaski went to check it out and saw several cars propped up.
“Left them on the old milk crates and took off,” he recalled.
Belaski says Honda has been storing cars there for two years and has rarely been victimized by thieves.
“It must have been well planned out,” he said. “…It’s unusual to see that happen here.”
By the time Belaski called Honda about the missing tires, they told him they already knew.
The Milpitas Police Department says the thefts were reported last Thursday.
Police say they have no suspects and it’s unclear how many people were involved.
