SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) – A two-alarm fire is “under control” after one person was injured, according to the San Francisco Fire Department.
The fire was reported at 1215 Fitzgerald Avenue early Wednesday in San Francisco’s Bret Harte neighborhood, on the eastside by the old Candlestick Park, according to the San Francisco Fire Department, which originally misidentified the house as 1211.
The house was damaged extensively but nobody was reported displaced.
People were advised to avoid the area. The person injured is a firefighter and will be OK, the department stated.
Some 70 firefighters responded to the blaze. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
