Warriors Championship Parade set for Tuesday

OAKLAND (KRON)- - Get your Warriors gear ready!

On Tuesday, the Golden State Warriors and the City of Oakland will host a Championship Parade to honor of the Dubs 2018 championship title.

Over 1 million spectators are expected for the victory celebration.

The parade kicks off at 11:00 a.m. but fans can start lining up as early as 6:30 a.m.

It begins on Broadway at 11th Street, turning right on 20th Street, turning right on Harrison to 19th Street, and right on Lakeside Drive, ending on Oak and 13th Street.

Also, there won't be a rally this year.

The  Warriors have implemented a few changes which include an interactive parade where fans will have the opportunity to share in the up-close excitement of the 2018 NBA Championship with the players.

Fans are advised to use public transit and to be patient as transit will be slowed by traffic congestion and heavy pedestrian traffic.

Detours of the above bus lines will occur in two phases and begin Monday. To learn more about reroutes and additional service information, visit actransit.org.

Fans who plan to drive to the parade area are advised to consider parking in Jack London Square, which is only a few blocks from the parade route.
