The Butte County Sheriff’s Office released dramatic body camera footage of a deputy trying to escape the Camp Fire.
Authorities say, on Nov. 8th Deputy Aaron Parmley was driving on Pentz Road in Paradise, trying to locate four nurses from the Feather River Hospital who needed help.
The roadway was surrounded by flames and Parmley couldn’t see more than 10 yards in front of him.
He was forced to get out and walk the rest of the way after his car stopped.
He turned on his body camera, to capture what he thought was his final moments.
