Burglary suspect barricaded in South San Jose home

SAN JOSE (KRON) — San Jose police are currently in a standoff with police Friday evening as a burglary suspect is barricaded in a home in the city’s southside, police said.

Police got a call about a burglary in progress in the 3000 block of Franela Drive. When officers arrived at the scene, they saw the suspect fleeing in a car.

Police caught up with the suspect at his home in the 5500 block of Harvard Drive, near Blossom Hill Road.

The suspect is refusing to come out of his home, police said.

No other information is available at this time.
