CLOVIS (KSEE) — The Clovis Police Department detailed an incident where a naked 26-year-old man allegedly broke into a home, assaulting two 10-year-old girls.
It happened just after midnight Sunday near Ashlan and Fowler Avenues.
Officers responded to a report that a naked man forced open a window in a room where the girls were sleeping.
Police say they awoke to the suspect, Timothy Jay Picard, touching them inappropriately.
They were able to fight him off, and he fled through the window.
The girls then told the adults in the home.
Clovis police was assisted by the California Highway Patrol helicopter, H-40, and several witnesses were questioned.
On May 15, officers arrested Picard.
Police say he has multiple prior arrests which include stalking and burglary.
He is also on AB109 probation for stalking.
Clovis Police are working with the Fresno District Attorney’s Office on this case,
He’s facing charges of lewd and lascivious acts with a minor under 14, first degree burglary and violating his probation.
