SFFD returns after helping contain the Camp Fire

San Francisco Fire sent strike teams to help fight the Camp Fire on Nov. 12 and have now returned safe and sound.

The department shared a photo on their Instagram and Twitter accounts on Sunday thanking the firefighters for their hard work. 

After starting on Nov. 8, nearly 20 days ago, Cal Fire announced Sunday morning that the Camp Fire had now been 100-percent contained. 

The fire burned 153,336 acres and took the lives of 85 people.

According to the latest Cal Fire incident report, no firefighters were lost, and only three were injured.
