VIDEO: Black man claims Los Angeles Starbucks denied him access to bathroom

While the nation’s attention has been riveted on Philadelphia, after two black men were arrested inside a shop as they were waiting for a friend, another video has surfaced.

A California man claims he was also denied the use of a Starbucks bathroom right before employees granted access to a white man.

Brandon Ward said the incident happened at a location in Torrance on Jan. 23 and he documented that date by posting cellphone video on Instagram.

Ward says he walked into the coffee shop and asked employees if he could have the code for the restroom.

A worker told him, he needed to make a purchase first.

Moments later, Ward says he saw another customer walk in and ask for the code.

“He goes straight to the cashier, ‘Hey I need the code,'” Ward said. “They grant him the code.”

He grabbed his cell phone and began recording the confrontation.
