Caltrain Holiday Train toy drive kicks off this weekend

News

The Caltrain Holiday Train will be traveling up and down the Peninsula collecting toys for underprivileged children this weekend.

The Bay Area tradition that’s been running since 2001 is presented by the Silicon Valley Community Foundation.

It’s a free family event that brings together the local community in the spirit of giving.

Those who want to give can bring new, unwrapped toys to donate to local, underprivileged kids.

The event will benefit the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots and The Salvation Army’s Season of Giving Program to help local families.

The train will make nine different stops this weekend along the Caltrain corridor.
