SAN JOSE, Calif. (KRON) — Firefighters are on the scene of a 2-alarm structure fire in San Jose, according to a tweet from San Jose Fire Department (SJFD).

The call came in at 11:20 a.m., and the fire is in a residential building on the 2600 block of Glen Doon Court. SJFD is encouraging people to avoid the area.

According to a tweet posted at 12:23 p.m. the fire has been put out. Two residents in the home at the time of the fire escaped through a second-story balcony before the fire department arrived.

One person was taken to the hospital due to smoke inhalation. Five residents have been displaced as a result of this fire.
