High wind advisory issued for Bay Area bridges, Altamont Pass

SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — High wind advisories are in effect Monday morning for multiple Bay Area bridges and the Altamont Pass, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The Bay Bridge, San Mateo-Hayward Bridge, Dumbarton Bridge, Richmond Bridge and the Altamont Pass are all under high wind advisories.

The advisory on the San Mateo-Hayward Bridge, Dumbarton Bridge and Altamont Pass were issued Sunday. The other advisories were issued early Monday morning.

Monday will be windy with a northwest breeze at 14 to 18 mph. Gusts could get as high as 24 mph, according to KRON 4 Meteorologist James Fletcher.
