OREGON (KRON) — In an accident seemingly out of a Final Destination movie, a sanitation worker in Clackamas Oregon was killed after falling into a meat blender.

The victim, identified as 41 year old Hugo Chanon of Portland, worked for DCS Sanitation Management. Chanon was providing cleaning services for Interstate Meat Distributors when he reportedly fell into an industrial meat grinder while it was in service. Another worker rushed to turn the machine off, but it was too late.

Deputies describe the scene as a “tragic industrial accident.”

Firefighters were called to the scene at 11:45 p.m. Friday. The victim’s remains were transported to the medical examiner’s office.

The case is under investigation according to the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office.
