See ya, San Francisco!
Millennials are choosing to call Sacramento home instead, according to a new study.
Sacramento was the third most popular destination for those ages 20 to 34 in 2016.
Seattle took the top spot, with Columbia, South Carolina coming in second.
The results are part of an analysis of U.S. Census data by investment site SmartAsset.
Analysts looked at immigration and emigration data from the U.S. Census Bureau for 217 cities.
Sacramento saw more than 16,000 new millennial-aged residents in 2016, with 9,500 out-migrations.
San Jose took the No. 7 spot, with a net migration of 5,496.
Most of the millennials moving to Sacramento came from elsewhere in California, according to the study.
But it isn’t just millennials moving there.
