Mom speaks out after nearly escaping crash in Napa

A miraculous story of luck — We first showed you this video last night of a mom and her two young children who just missed getting hit by car in Napa. An emotional reunion inside Villa Corona on Wednesday.

Juliana Perez thanks a restaurant employee who ran to help after she and her two children were nearly hit by an out of control driver as they stepped out the restaurant earlier this week.

“I can’t believe it. I can’t believe it, we are alive. And I am so so lucky,” Perez said.

Perez says she had just picked up dinner to go with her two kids, was walking back out to her car when in an instant her life nearly changed forever.

“I saw the car was very close to me and I was like, it’s coming, but I cannot do anything,” Perez said.

Police say the driver lost control while trying to park, Perez says the driver was speeding.

“I don’t know, very fast, very fast like poooom,” Perez said.

The car sped through the parking lot, nearly hitting Perez and her children, taking out patio furniture in front of the restaurant and then crashing into a concrete wall.

Perez was with her two children, Oscar is five and Daniela is three.

All of them walked away from this horrible accident without a scratch.

“My boy’s like, ‘oh, mommy, you see the car and the car push us,” and I’m like ‘oh, it’s OK. Don’t worry about it. Nothing happened,'” Perez said.

She says it’s a blessing they are alive.

The restaurant employee who helped them after the accident, Vivan Saldivar, cannot believe they are all okay.

“Just seeing her walk out that day and the first thing, I never expected to see her alive again and I don’t know, it’s a good feeling, emotional, but I’m very happy that she’s alive and her kids are fine,” Saldivar said.
