(CNN) — Move over, cronut — there’s a new food oddity in town.
Take a look at these 24-karat gold chicken wings!
New York City restaurant The Ainsworth partnered with Jonathan “Foodgod” Cheban on this ultimate high-low menu item.
The wings are brined for 12 hours — one half-hour per karat — coated with a house-made dry rub, banked, flash-fried, then coated in a layer of gold dust.
It’s $45 for 10 wings.
The president of the company that owns The Ainsworth says they wanted to create something over-the-top that’s never been done before.
The wings are available at The Ainsworth in Chelsea and the one in the East Village.
