The smash Broadway hit “Hamilton” could soon be hitting the big screen.

Several studios are reportedly in a bidding war for the rights to a recording of a live performance of the show.

According to the Wall Street Journal, the rights could sell for more than $50 million.

But since the stage show is now touring the United States and Europe, owners want to keep the movie out of theaters until 2020 or 2021.

“Hamilton” has won 11 Tony awards and the 2016 Pulitzer Prize for drama.
