Oakland A’s are giving $20k to Carr Fire victims

The Oakland A’s announced the organization is giving $20,000 to victims of the massive wildfire that is devastating Shasta County.

The Carr Fire has destroyed over 1,000 homes and forced 27,000 people to evacuate.

After burning through more than 115,000 acres, it is now the seventh most destructive wildfire in California state history.

It’s also claimed six lives – Two firefighters and four civilians.

“Another devastating fire has hit our community,” the A’s said on Twitter. “The @Athletics are pledging $20,000 to help those affected by the #CarrFire.”
