One injured after person fires gun from passing car in Vallejo

VALLEJO (KRON) — One person was injured Monday afternoon in Vallejo after police say the occupant of a passing car fired multiple gunshots toward the victim near Georgia and 14th streets. 

Just after 2 p.m., police say they responded to a traffic collision on the 1700 block of Illinois Street where they found the driver of the car with multiple gunshot wounds. 

Officers later discovered the person had been shot by the occupant of another car passing by near Georgia and 14th Street, about one mile away. 

The victim was transported a nearby hospital and is being treated.
