SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — A pedestrian was struck and killed Monday morning on U.S. Highway 101 near San Francisco International Airport, California Highway Patrol
officers said.
CHP received reports of a person walking on northbound Highway 101 just north of the SFO off-ramp at around 1:01 a.m., officials said.
The pedestrian was struck by two cars.
Emergency crews pronounced the pedestrian dead at the scene.
A traffic alert was issued at 1:25 a.m. when CHP officers closed the highway’s third, fourth and fifth lanes.
All lanes have since been reopened.
