Napa police are asking for your help finding the owner of a dog who was found swimming in a pool overnight.

According to police, officers responded to El Nido Drive around midnight after a caller reported a dog swimming in their pool.

“We responded, broke up the old man pup swimming party, and brought him to the PD for some TLC by our Dispatchers,” the Napa Police Department wrote in a Facebook post.

Police say they gladly welcomed “old man pup” with lots of “love, blankets, and some heat!” They noted the dog’s teeth were chattering after his pool party.

Authorities say it’s a great way to kick off National Public Safety Telecommunications Week, noting “how lucky we are to have the Dispatchers we have.”

If you know the owner of this sweet canine, you are asked to call Dispatch at 707-257-9223.
