San Francisco Giants agree to 6-year contract with pitcher Johnny Cueto

SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — The San Francisco Giants bolstered their starting pitching with Monday’s signing of ace free agent Johnny Cueto.

The 29-year-old right-hander is rumored to have signed a 6-year deal with the Giants, according to MLB.com.

The Dodgers, Cardinals, and Nationals were courting the free agent who was seeking between $140-160 million.

Cueto has a 3.44 ERA with a 176/46 K/BB ratio in 212 innings between the Reds and the Royals.

The Giants welcomed Cueto via social media.
