San Francisco Police have arrested a man following two stabbings within hours of each other beginning Monday night.
Around 5:38 p.m. police were called to the 400 block of Jessie Street between 6th and Mini.
Officers found a 70-year-old San Francisco woman suffering from what appeared to be stab wounds.
Paramedics arrived and announced the woman had passed away.
The woman’s name has not been released at this time.
Around 12:40 a.m. early Tuesday, another stabbing was reported on the unit block of 3rd Street.
Officers found a 46-year-old woman suffering from stab wounds.
The woman was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Officials detained a man who matched the suspects description.
Following an investigation, the man was identified as the suspect and arrested.
27-year-old Michael Jacobs has been booked into San Francisco County Jail on charges of attempted murder.
At this time, a photo of Jacobs has not been released.
SFPD Homicide Detail is working to investigate both stabbings to determine if the crimes were related.
