SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — KRON has learned a person is now under arrest in a deadly hit-and-run last month in San Francisco.

Investigators said 19-year-old Nicky Garcia, of San Francisco, is suspected of speeding and then crossing into oncoming lanes of traffic before hitting a bicyclist. The incident happened on June 22 at around 6:01 p.m., according to San Francisco police Ofc. Grace Gatpandan.

Police said Garcia then abandoned the stolen car at Angler’s Casting Club in Golden Gate Park.

A 41-year-old woman died after the collision, which occurred at JFK Drive and 30th Avenue.

Garcia is now facing several charges, including murder and burglary.
