San Jose police identify man suspected of shooting at elementary school


SAN JOSE (KRON)– San Jose police released the identity of the suspect they believe shot at an elementary school on Tuesday.

According to the San Jose Police Department, the suspect 21-year-old Nicholas O’Connor, was arrested just after 8:00 p.m.

Around 3:49 a.m. officers responded to Booksin Elementary School on Dry Creek Road to reports that a man was shooting a gun in the area.

KRON4’s Will Tran reported live from the scene and says bullet holes lined the side of the school. The suspect also shot at security cameras and a library.

A witness who called 911 told KRON4 that she tried to chase after the gunman herself but he managed to get away.

Police moved in just after 8:00 p.m. and apprehended the alleged shooter.WHAT OTHERS ARE CLICKING ON:
