Senior stray dog in Florida without nose looking for ‘furever’ home

ORANGE COUNTY, FL (KRON) — ‘Sniffles’ the dog is not an ordinary dog.

The Poodle and Pooch Rescue of Florida, located in Orange County, says its received 200+ emails and phone calls about the pup who once lived as a stray in Puerto Rico. The dog rescue says Sniffles was found on the island after being attacked by a group of stray dogs. The attack left Sniffles without a nose and wounds requiring numerous surgeries.

After surgery and recovery time, the pup was adopted in to a home in Florida — but while living with his new owners, Sniffles kept escaping from the home and was eventually in need of a new ‘furever’ home, the rescue said. The rescue called his adopted home an “unsafe situation” and not the best place for the special needs pup.

The Florida dog rescue is now looking for a new home for the dog without a nose. The rescue says its received hundreds of messages regarding the senior dog.
