Sharks host Golden Knights for Game 1 of Stanley Cup Playoffs


The San Jose Sharks are gearing up for Game 1 against the Vegas Golden Knights on Wednesday night in the first round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs. 

The match will begin at 7:30 p.m. at the SAP Center.

Ahead of the first round, our KRON4 sports team met with Sharks radio voice, Dan Rusanowsky, to discuss the matchup of these teams. 

During the playoffs, there will be free street rallies and watch parties:

Street Rallies

  • Autumn Street between Santa Clara Street and St. John Street will be open to the public from 5 to 7 p.m.
  • Festivities include: DJ, photo ops/booth, face painters, and more
  • Enjoy food trucks and beer for purchase
  • 33-foot portable TV screen to watch the action

Watch Parties

  • Hosted for away games on Sunday, Apr. 14 and Tuesday, Apr. 16 
  • Held on Autumn Street outside of SAP Center
  • Sunday: Festivities begin 5:30 p.m. Game begins at  7 p.m.
  • Tuesday: Festivities begin at 6 p.m. Game begins at 7:30 p.m.

First Round playoffs Sharks vs. Golden Knights:

  • Game 1: Wednesday, Apr. 10 in San Jose at 7:30 p.m. PT
  • Game 2: Friday, Apr. 12 in San Jose at 7:30 p.m. PT
  • Game 3: Sunday, Apr. 14 in Las Vegas at 7 p.m. PT
  • Game 4: Tuesday, Apr. 16 in Las Vegas at 7:30 p.m. PT
  • Game 5: (if necessary): Thursday, Apr. 18 in San Jose, time TBD
  • Game 6: (if necessary): Sunday, Apr. 21 in Las Vegas, time TBD
  • Game 7: (if necessary): Tuesday, Apr. 23 in San Jose, time TBD

The games will be broadcasted on NBCS California.
