Toddler dies after dental procedure at East Bay dentist

SAN RAMON (KRON) — A 3-year-old girl died after a dental procedure at a San Ramon dentist on Saturday, according to her family.

Emergency crews were called to Dentalbliss when the toddler, Marvelena Rady, had some type of complication during the unidentified procedure.

The toddler was taken to San Ramon Valley Regional Center where she was pronounced dead.

The father tells KRON4 News that the family is devastated and overwhelmed with grief.

At this time, it is unclear what happened.

The dentist has been identified as Dr. Cheri Dang.

KRON4 News is reaching out to the dentist for more information.

The Contra Costa County Coroners Office is performing autopsy on the child.
