Police are investigating after a pedestrian was hit by a car and killed early Monday morning in Vallejo.
Around 1:55 a.m. police got a call from a woman who said a man’s body was under her truck.
Officers determined she hit the man somewhere on Borgess Lane near Agnes Court, lodging him under the truck.
She drove with him stuck underneath for about 3/4 of a mile to her home, where she finally discovered his body.
Paramedics responded to the scene, but the man died of his injuries. His identity has not been released.
The driver of the truck, a 28-year-old Vallejo woman, is cooperating with the investigation. She has a suspended drivers license and an outstanding warrant.
“It does not appear that drugs and/or alcohol are a factor in the collision,” police said.
The collision is still under investigation and anyone with information is asked to contact Officer Waylon Boyce in the Vallejo Police Department Traffic Division at (707) 648-4014.
This is the 13th collision related fatality of 2018 in Vallejo.
