SAN JOSE (KRON) — A San Jose teacher has filed a complaint with her school district in the wake of numerous instances of alleged bullying and derogatory remarks toward her.
The teacher says the abuse is because she is Muslim.
Special education teacher Maimona Berta has filed a grievance and a formal complaint with the Alum Rock School District.
She contends she has been the object of derogatory slurs and anti-Muslim graffiti by students on several occasions going back to spring semester.
