NFL star 'Shady' McCoy responds to allegations of domestic violence

SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) - Star NFL running back LeSean McCoy is responding to a social media post accusing him of domestic violence.

A woman took to Instagram, claiming McCoy brutally beat another woman he was apparently involved with.

She posted a picture of the woman she calls her best friend, claiming McCoy was responsible for her swollen, bloody face.

The caption to the picture starts with, "@shadymccoy is THE DEVIL!!! YOU ARE AN ANIMAL!!!!!!"

It goes on to say that he beat his dog "into kidney failure," and how he had to be stopped on several occasions from "viciously beating" his son. The post also alleges illegal drug use by McCoy.

"YOUR KARMA IS GOING TO BE SO REAL!!!!!! The world needs to know what type of animal you really are!!!!!!!," the woman wrote on Instagram.

McCoy responded with a post saying, in part, "the totally baseless claims made against me today on social media are completely false."

He says he hasn't had "any direct contact with any of the people involved in years."

LeSean "Shady" MCoy plays for the Buffalo Bills. He played for the Philadelphia Eagles from 2009-2014.
