Warriors' Stephen Curry to miss time with groin strain

SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) - The Golden State Warriors not only lost a blowout against the Milwaukee Bucks Thursday night, but the back-to-back champs also learned Stephen Curry will spend some time on the sidelines.

The team announced in a statement Friday morning that Curry suffered a "mild-to-moderate left groin strain."

Coach Steve Kerr says he does not expect Curry to be out on a long-term basis, but the team will monitor the injury over the next few days.

Curry, who leads the league in scoring with more than 29 points per game, has been ruled out for Saturday night's game against the Brooklyn Nets.
