NDNU Celebrates 100 Years of Education in Belmont
Several Bay Area landmarks and institutions are celebrating notable anniversaries this year, including a private Catholic university on the Peninsula. Notre Dame de Namur University has been in the Bay since 1851, but on Sunday the institution celebrated 100 years at its campus in Belmont. Though instruction has recently pivoted to just focus on graduate students, the school president says the mission of the Catholic Sisters who started the university is still alive and well.
