RICHMOND, Calif. (KRON) — Firefighters on Monday contained a large fire in Richmond.

The fire was reported around 10:30 a.m. at 2200 Central Avenue.

Neighbors who live nearby shared video with KRON4 showing large plumes of black smoke in the air.

It appears the fire broke out in a very industrial area that housed multiple businesses.

There’s also a large empty lot with wood pallets that also caught fire.

Crews with the city of Richmond and Contra Costa County Fire Protection District knocked down the fire within about an hour-and-a-half.

There were no reported injures.

The cause has not yet been determined.
